The NM Boys Varsity Soccer team traveled to Eastern on Tuesday. The Warriors fell 3-1 in an exciting game. The Warriors played an excellent first half of soccer jumping out to a 1-0 lead mid-way through the first half on a goal by freshman Brady Coppler who beat the Eastern defense for a shot that was touched by the keeper before he crashed the goal to get the 1-0 lead. NM led throughout the first 20 mins of the second half before a handball in the box allowed Eastern to tie it 1-1. Eastern was then able to connect on 2 goals late to take the contest by the final margin. The Warriors had their best offensive showing of the season with 11 SOG and multiple runs at the goal. We play again Thursday on the road against Conference foe Winamac.
