XC competes in New Prairie Invitational

The North Miami High School cross country teams ran at the New Prairie Invitational on Saturday. There were over 30 teams in the Class “A” race. The girls ran first, and out of 165 runners, freshman Leah Shafer placed in the top 40 (39th), earning a ribbon with a finish time of 23:43, a season-best performance for her! Junior Leah Miller also ran well, finishing in 114th place overall with a time of 28:00. On the guy’s side—there were 231 runners! Sophomore Michael Miser finished in 100th place, crossing the line in 21:03, while senior Ethan Johnston placed 130th, finishing in 21:54. The Warriors are hosting the Miami County meet on Tuesday, and then they travel to Huntington University on Saturday to compete in the New Haven Invitational. Come support your Warriors!
