NM MS Football defeats Winamac

The North Miami Middle School Football Warriors traveled to Winamac this past Saturday. Winamac saw themselves with a 1 point lead at halftime over North Miami 14-13 The second half saw the NM Warriors mount a comeback with the defense stepping up and stopping Winamac’s drives and the Warrior offense responding with a touchdown by Oliver Wildermuth to make the score 20-14 in the 4th Quarter. Winamac had little under 2 minutes to respond, but a fumble recovery by the North Miami defense allowed the NM Warriors to take over and run off the clock to their 2nd victory of the year with a final score of 20-14. Leaders of the ballgame are as follows: Oliver Wildermuth with 87 yards and 1 touchdown Jension Carr amassed 87 yards on the ground Urijah Korba had 2 touchdowns on 38 yards of offense On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker, Andrew Hawkins had 7 tackles and was the heart of the defense in the second half. The North Miami Middle School’s record currently stands at 2-2. The next middle school game will be Saturday, October 5 at South Central (Union Mills) Jr-Sr. High School. Kickoff will be at 11:00 p.m.
