North Miami Middle/High School

The North Miami cross country teams went to Winamac Town Park on Saturday to compete in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference championship meet. All four of our high school athletes had their best performances of the season! In the boys’ race, sophomore Michael earned All-HNAC Honorable Mention by finishing in 14th place, running a personal-best time of 19:56. Senior Ethan Johnston ran a season-best time of 20:04, but just missed out on all-conference honors by placing 16th. For the girls, junior Leah Miller shaved 41 seconds off her lifetime personal best time, crossing the line in 26:08 and finishing in 27th place overall. Sophomore Leah Shafer earned All-HNAC first team honors by placing in the top 10 overall (9th) and running a lifetime-best time of 22:19. The Warriors will travel to Manchester on October 19th to compete in the IHSAA sectional contest. Good luck, Warriors!
