Varsity vs North White High School (61 - 24) The North Miami Warriors boys basketball teams got their 2024-25 season off to a great start. Hosting North White Tuesday night for the season opener, the Warriors were looking for a third consecutive victory over the Vikings. JV started off hot with a 7-0 run and ended the first up by 7. The Warriors offense got quiet in the second, but held a halftime lead of 3. When the Warriors came out after half, they got their offensive mojo back and started hitting more shots and getting more stops. Outsourcing North White 27-8 in the second half, the Warriors cruised to a 45-23 victory to start 1-0. The Varsity team got off to a great start scoring 20 consecutive points in the first quarter. Then, much like the JV, the scoring slowed down in the second, but they still won the quarter to expand their lead to 20 at halftime. The Warriors brought out more intensity in the third and didn’t let up for the last 16 minutes. After a dominating performance, the Warriors walked off their home court with an impressive 61-24 win over the Vikings. The Warriors’ next challenge comes this Friday night at home, taking on former TRC opponent and Miami County rival Maconaquah. JV tips off at 6 with Varsity to follow right after.
