Varsity vs Wabash High School (48 - 44) Win Th Warrior traveled to Wabash last night. Wabash came out of the gate hot and got an early double digit lead in the first. NM didn’t take too kindly to that and they came out in the second bringing the fire. After holding Wabash to 5 second quarter points, the Warriors had a 4 point halftime lead. The second half was a close game, but NM grinded out the last 8 minutes and made the right plays and got the stops when they needed them the most. The Warriors pulled away with a 48-44 victory. The Warriors showed their support for their teammate Gavyn Fritz who was diagnosed with leukemia this week by wearing #GavynStrong shirts. Jake Riley led the way with 17 points followed up by Lake Musall with 13. Ryan Meredith collected a lot of rebounds for NM, especially down the stretch in the fourth to help seal the deal. The Warriors are starting to look better with each game they play and are on the right track. Looking forward, the Warriors have their first new conference opponent this Saturday when they host Pioneer.
