V started off hot getting out to an early 6-0 lead before Rochester woke up and tied the score at 8 after the first. Then the Zebras really brought the pressure and NM didn’t score in the second to give Rochester a commanding double digit lead. The second half all looked similar to the second quarter for Rochester and dominated most of the game, leading to a 39-20 win over the Warriors. The game stayed close the entire 32 minutes and it was unknown who would pull away with a victory in this one. Tied after the first then Rochester taking a 3 point lead at half had the Warriors in a great position to win. The Zebras started the second half on a 4-0 run to stretch the lead to 7, but the Warriors weren’t quitting. Both sides were exchanging baskets left and right until the final minute came. NM was down 3 and couldn’t convert on offense and was forced to foul multiple times, ultimately leading to a Rochester 69-58 win. The Warriors host Whitko on Thursday.
