North Miami’s boys basketball took on Whitko Wildcats. JV kept the first half close with a low scoring first and a decent defensive effort in the second. Whitko came out with more pressure in the second half and forced NM to scramble a little bit more than usual. The Warriors couldn’t get shots going and the Cats were capitalizing on the offensive end. Whitko pulled away with a 39-20 win over the Warriors. Varsity was also close for the entirety of the first half. Both offenses were working and defensive stops were coming when needed. The second half opened up in the Warriors favor, starting with an 11-0 run in the first four minutes. It was smooth sailing after that for the Warriors with the scores coming left and right, all the while defense was stopping Whitko almost every possession. The Warriors pulled away with a 56-49 home victory.
