Saturday the team traveled to Culver for their first HNAC match of the season falling 1-3. The Lady Warriors kept the score line level at 0-0 through 50 minutes of play, but then went down 0-1 after a 25 yard lofted ball hugged the bar and fell down the back of the net out of keeper Lindsey Pugh's reach. The Warriors would concede a second goal after a corner kick clear quickly switched fields and allowed for another uncontested shot from distance that dropped in the upper ninety far post. North Miami put together a few good possessions, and eventually center mid Porscha Pickett would find a gap in the defense to slot a pass through for a wing run from Laina Kling that put her on goal, and Kling was able to finish the shot near post putting the score 1-2. With less than 10 minutes left in the game, numbers were pushed forward looking for an equalizer which opened up more space for the Cavalier's and they took advantage on a quick counter attack that landed their third goal. The Lady Warriors fall to 1-1-1 on the season and take the field again at home on Monday against Peru at 5:30pm.
