The North Miami Varsity Girls Golf team teed it up against tough competition tonight in a four-way match with Tippecanoe Valley, Manchester, and Whitko. The Warriors battled to a team score of 215, finishing just two strokes behind Valley and Whitko (213 each), while Manchester claimed top honors with a 198. Even in defeat, the Lady Warriors showed plenty of fire and growth: • Hannah led the way with a 51 at the #3 spot, highlighted by a par on #2 and five bogies across her round. She showed resilience, keeping everything at double bogey or better outside of holes #1 and #5. • Bryanne followed with a 53 at #2, bouncing back after a tough double-par on #5 to finish strong. Her round included steady play and pars on both #4 and #7, proving she’s right on the edge of shooting consistent 40’s. • Laney, stepping into the #1 slot, battled through swing difficulties but showed true resilience by resetting herself and finishing strong with a par on hole #2. She carded a 55 and provided steady leadership at the top of the lineup. • Alex posted a 56 at #4, boosted by three clutch bogies on #4, #5, and #7. Her highlight of the night came on hole #8, where she unleashed an incredible drive that outdistanced her matchups by nearly 90 yards and easily cleared a demanding shot over water — a confidence-building moment for the team. • Savannah rounded out the lineup with a 65, showing rapid improvement in her first varsity season. Her swing and short-game work around the greens continue to stand out as she improves at an incredible pace for a fresh golfer. “We didn’t get the team outcome we wanted, but there were great individual highlights. Hannah’s consistency set the tone, Bryanne recovered like a veteran after a setback, Laney showed resilience at the top spot, Alex’s drive on #8 was incredible, and Savannah’s rapid improvement is a spark for the whole team. That’s how teams grow — one round, one hole, one swing at a time. Even in tough fields, we’re proving we belong.” The Lady Warriors may have finished just behind tonight, but they showed they’re a team on the rise — hungry, competitive, and building momentum with every match. They tee up again Saturday morning at the round barn invitational!
