The Running Warriors headed to the south side of Miami County to compete in the Maconaquah Invitational. Two of our runners not only ran lifetime personal best times, but they moved up on the all-time best lists! Eighth grader Taylor Starkey placed 11th overall out of 121 girls by running the 3K distance in a personal best time of 12:29. This moves her up to 3rd place overall in North Miami XC history, and only 5 seconds behind second place! Sophomore Leah Shafer also ran a lifetime PR, taking nearly a minute off her best all-time performance. Leah placed 12th out of 94 runners. She moves up to 3rd place overall in North Miami High School history. Freshman Sydney Lane (26:50, 58th ) and senior Leah Miller (27:20, 64th place) also competed for the Warriors. The middle school will run at Pioneer on Thursday, while the high school will run at the New Prairie Invitational on Saturday.
