North Miami Middle/High School

The North Miami Warriors cross country teams participated in the New Prairie Cross Country Invitational, one of the largest meets in the midwest! Both teams ran in the Class A race based upon school enrollment. Senior Nik Augustyn ran a personal record time of 23:28, shaving nearly two minutes of his previous best time! He also placed 185th out of 236 total runners. A strong performance, indeed! In the girls' race, senior Leah Miller (26:21, 127th place) was within one second of her season best time. Freshman Sydney Lane ran a personal-best time of 24:18, placing 77th of 195 finishers. Sophomore Leah Shafer had a great race! She earned a medal by finishing in the top 15. Leah finished in 14th place, crossing the line in 21:50, her second-best time ever! The Warriors will host Maconaquah and Peru in the Miami County meet on Tuesday. Come out and support your Warriors!
